After completing this course Prince William County School teachers and facility will have 100% confidence in their knowledge, skills and attitude regarding safe firearm use.
RFOA also believes that no amount of online training can replace hands-on training in firearm safety and use. This is a foundation course specifically tailored to teachers and school faculty who want to become more knowledgeable about firearms and to carry concealed firearms for the specific purpose of protecting themselves or protecting our kids in Prince William County.
This course is a hands-on shooting course which will result in the NRA Basic Pistol Certification. After completion of this training you will know everything you need to know to confidently purchase, use, maintain and store modern pistols (revolver and semiautomatic).
This is an excellent hands-on class for first time gun owners of all ages.
Clients will complete live fire training and a national standardized shooting qualification with an instructor who has over 30 years shooting experience. RFOA will provide firearms and ammunition if you are using our firearms during the training at no additional cost. If you are using your own firearm you will need to purchase a minimum of 200 rounds in the appropriate caliber. While this training is designed for the new gun owner in mind, it meets all the necessary requirements for concealed carry in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Our instructors will remain until our clients feel they have mastered the Protect our Kids lessons.
Note: This training course does not allow you to violate gun free zone policies until they are changed. This course will provide you all the information you need to come to an informed decision regarding teachers having access to concealed firearms in a school environment. It will also provide you with the necessary training to carry concealed firearms to protect yourself and your families when outside the school environment.
